What We Do

As a broad-based, non-categorical organisation, our members bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives, united by a shared commitment to delivering quality education for all learners with disability and special education needs. 

AASE aims to 

 - Advocate for quality education for student with disability

- Influence policy and decision making at State and National levels

- Support educators and leaders in education to provide evidence informed practice

 - Promote quality research to inform educational practice

The National Council has representatives from all States and Territories and meets regularly throughout the year as well as face to face once a year. The National Council elects the Executive Team. The AASE Strategic Plan together with our aims underpins and drives the direction and work of the Council.
